Excellent mix (for me, anyway). Several I’ve seen and loved, several I’ve never seen but really want to and several that I’ve not heard of. Well done, PB.
Really excited about all of these, but these three especially. I missed Emmitt-Nershi last time because of a 2 hour shuttle line in Illium. And Michael Cleveland is a great fiddler, been wondering when he would make an appearance!
He is indeed. A friend turned my girlfriend and I onto him about two years ago. He’s got a great story too. Among other things, he’s almost completely blind! He holds his fiddle bow more like a club than a bow, and yet he’s won IMBA Fiddle Player of the year 6 or 7 times in a row.
That’s a can’t miss set for sure. It’d be cool to see him do a workshop as well.
Man that preliminary lineup really sends chills down your spine! :thumbsup
I for one am so glad to see the Stringdusters will be at TBF this year!! :cheers We went to their Festy in Virginia this October, and they were simply awesome :medal
I’m always happy to see the old familiars: the House Band, Tim O’Brien, Punch Brothers…
And the new stuff I look forward to discover!
My fingers are still crossed for Crooked Still, Alison Krauss, Blue Highway…
I can almost guarantee we’ll get more Jerry than just The House Band. Even if he doesn’t get his own set, he’ll be out playing with probably a third of the acts. That’s how Jerry rolls.
