Here’s a question for you all. With Peter scheduled to play with the Free Mexican Air Force, does that mean we may see the appearance of Cindy Cashdollar on the steel and dobro? That would be a real treat. She is one of the best female dobro players around. :cheers
I hope so! From the digging that I have done, it looks like her name comes up most with that band. I would expect Peter, Flacco, Cindy, and bass + drums. Would be nice to see Flacco get on stage with Emmylou Harris! They have recorded together before. Not sure if they are on the same night though. SO PUMPED TO HAVE FLACCO THIS YEAR. I was born and raised in South Texas, so he’s been a musical icon of mine since I was a kid. Now to see him with PETER ROWAN in TELLURIDE is a dream. My worlds colliding, the stars are aligning!
Rowns should get some sort of award for changing things up / reinventing himself from year to year.
Karma chamelion! :cheers
I think it’s an awesome approach. Some do it year by year, some do it show by show. Many a musician would stand to benefit from putting a different change of clothes every now and again.
He’s always been my favorite, even if it’s just him and a guitar (of which there are very few who keep my interest).
Would love to him team up with Dave Nelson in Telluride one of these years.
Just read at Bluegrass Today (you must subscribe; a lot of good stuff and a lot of fun) that Peter has cancelled quite a number of shows, apparently for health reasons. Let’s send him all our good vibes and prayers to be well and healthy. I see at his website he keeps Merlefest on his calendar, but Telluride is absent.
Let’s hope for his sake, and for our souls, he will be well enough to be in Telluride this June.
“Rowns”! Nice touch FOM! :pirate
Yikes!
Thanks for sharing and yes, lets send him all of our good vibes and prayers to be well and healthy!
Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter… :medal
ANY guy that wears purple tie dyed pants has got way too much spunk to just settle for sick. WE NEED YOU!
He is like Santa Fe or a Taos man adds the beef to the broth. I like when he shuffles around and adds different ingredients to the pot.
Get well buddy and forever purple and green.
:flower :flower :flower :hug :hug :hug :hug :cow
Good news in Bluegrass Today that Pete Rowns is in good health:
https://bluegrasstoday.com/peter-rowan-returns-to-his-roots/
and he is releasing some new (and old) tunes. Should be great to hear in those Telluride Hills this summer.
He’s lost some weight:

Keep at it Peter and remember that Colorado is the fittest state. Its healthifying to tour there.
I hope he continues wearing purple tye dyed pants. We love our Pete any way we can get em!
