We’re first-timers heading down with a small teardrop trailer tomorrow afternoon. I’ve read through the official “camping alternatives” page on the main website and it sounds like those are our best bet, BUT I’m very concerned that there won’t be anything left by the time we get there and I’d rather not drive around all night looking for a spot in the dark. Any advice on where to start our search when we arrive to the area is greatly appreciated!
Met someone yesterday who said Matterhorn was full, and they got the last spot at Sunshine. Still worth checking it out, but you might need to look further out. Good luck!
