So I was just recently told about two weeks ago that Nightgrass is sold via lottery. Now having had bad luck with the regular lottery, I’m suddenly pretty worried that I’m going to be twiddling my thumbs at night while people rage late night shows, one of my favorite things in the world.
Are there scalpers for late night shows? Are they out there charging $200 or are people generally pretty reasonable? Excuse the noob questions this is my first time going to Telluride.
Also!
Phish at Northerly Island in July! Hopefully I can turn all $5 of my dollars I’ll have after Telluride into some sweet tickets!
Once you’re in town, the scalping seems to stop. I’ve never seen a scalper, only people trying to get rid of extra tickets, and usually at a lo$$. Even the Fest tickets I’ve seen for sale on the street were cheaper than face. Same thing at Nightgrass. And if you get lucky you might be able to find a NG ticket. However these concerts ARE popular so the only way to be SURE that you’ll get in is to win tickets in the lottery.
There will also be some trading of shows after the lottery, but the big shows will still be difficult to score.
