Newbies looking for a Mary E Ilium primer

Hello! We have been dying to attend TBF forever and we finally get to attend this year! We scored multi-day passes and a vehicle pass for MEI campground. We have a little (21ft) conversion van that we will be driving to the fest. I would greatly appreciate any and all advice or recommendations on what we can expect. When do most folks arrive? Could we arrive Thursday morning or will there essentially be no spots left? If we arrive earlier in the week, before the festival starts, are we essentially stuck there for the duration or can we take our vehicle in and out without losing our space? My husband is still working remotely for the first half of that week and we are fearful that there will be no internet if we have to arrive early and stay put in the campground. Thank you for any help and guidance you can offer.

First, are your multi day passes, the bundled Mary E camping and full festival pass? You have to have the Mary E camping bundle, plus the vehicle pass to camp there. You definitely want to arrive before Thursday with a 21ft RV. By Wednesday night the campground will be pretty full. I’d suggest getting there by Tuesday, on Wednesday morning the shuttle starts running to town, and it’s also an easy MTN bike ride into town on trails beginner level. The library in town is amazing, and offers great wifi and even offers private rooms.

Hi Todd. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it. Yes, we were able to score the bundled multi-day passes and the vehicle pass. That’s a great piece of info about the private rooms at the library. That might be able to solve some of my husband’s dilemmas with balancing work and play.
