First, is there a PDF or whatnot that already addresses the basic FAQs for new guys? Here’s some: I read about chairs need to be low enough a basketball can’t go under, but how about the back? We just bought a couple beauties that have low butts and the backs rise to our earlobes Tommy Bahama Sunset Stripe Deluxe Backpack Beach Chair.
Do tarps need to be a certain kind of material? 5‘ x 7‘?
Any other hot tips would be great, we’ll be at Mary E Ilium in our camper van starting Monday.
As long as the basketball rule applies you’re good. Can’t have one of those umbrellas on your chair down front either. This only applies to the area “in front” of the sound board, behind that you can have big chairs! Any or no tarps work. Point of the tarp is to hold your space, but chairs, coolers, and backpacks will work too. 5x7 is perfect.
You seem to be doing things right. Come to Town Park before Thursday and explore the other campgrounds.
I am a first-timer traveling to TBF solo to rendezvous with my friends who will be arrived and set up at Mary E Illium Campground. I have the 4 day pass with access to this area. I am traveling Thursday 6/19. The thing is, I’m arriving around midnight in a rental car that will need to be temporarily parked over night and returned on Friday morning/afternoon to the Telluride Airport.
A few questions:
-Am I able to enter the festival at this time?
-Am I able to park my rental car temporarily overnight anywhere near Mary E Illium Campground or The Festival grounds if I arrive at this time (12/1AM on 6/20)
-Anything else I should know related to this arrival plan?
