There is some substantial overlap between those closing sets and Nightgrass show times (according to the tickets, at least). That’s kind of a bummer, especially on Friday/Saturday.

+1

Not that it makes it any better or anything but this has been the case for some time. Take a look at “last year” (2019):

I agree…tickets say Nightgrass doors are at 10 and the music starts at 11…GSBG and Dusters both have sets on the main stage till 12 and then have to move gear. When will those shows actually start?

I don’t need to get to a nightgrass show early for a front row spot. Is there any bad views at PALM THEATRE? Do they over sell these shows?

Big Richard prime time! Well deserved.

Phil Lesh for two hours? Yes, please. I wonder who his “friends” will be… I haven’t seen anything anywhere

Every seat in the Palm is great, but if you want to be upfront, or on the dance floor in front of the seats then you will need to leave the headliner early to get the spot you want…but the show might not start for a while, you will be waiting… some of the NG shows will start right around 11, but others won’t start until closer to 12…it all depends…it is just kind of the way it is bc a band like Greensky or the Dusters can easily play for 3 hours, and generally go until they are shut down around 2…in years past Punch has played until 4am at the Sheridan… those were the days…before the bands started popping out little baby crawlers
