hello festivarians!
i was here for the fest last year, but arrived on thursday in my camper and it took some sweet talking to fit into the onsite campground.
this year i’m planning to arrive early (mon or tues) to get in line at bohn park. was wondering if someone might kindly describe this scene to me. are we literally “lining up”? are you required to stay with your vehicle (i have friends in town, but don’t want to leave if i surrender my spot in line)? just curious how it works and if a mon/tues arrival is fine–or do tons of folks come in on sunday.
thanks for any feedback!
cheers,
christine
I think most of your questions are answered here: http://www.bluegrass.com/folks/rules.html#CampingLine

thanks dustin! i just thought it was a little vague as to whether people camp with their cars in line OR if you’re allowed to park in line and leave until admission starts on thursday. . .

Some people camp with their vehicles, but you are allowed to pay the fee and then leave your vehicle in line.
Be sure you are back at your vehicle no later than 4:30pm Thursday to get organized and ready to move at 6:00. I do believe the line has sometimes moved early and you don’t want to be left behind. :cheers
thank you! the practical answer i was looking for!
