Sounds perfect, I have one just like it. As long as the seat in close to the ground and you sit low you are fine. If you can roll a beach ball under it it is to tall. :flower
Thanks!..now if I dont sit in it too long everything will be fine!
We found these to be the best camping/festival chairs…they are light as a feather, sturdy, and you can carry them like a backpack.
Well Clutch, those chairs are great if you’re backpacking but to sit for hours at a festival, they kinda suck. They sit lower and you can’t see if people in front of you have regulation chairs, no cup holder and they’re hard to get up from. As a veteran festivarian I’d spend a few more bucks and get one of these from REI and reviewed on their site by your’s truly. :thumbsup http://www.rei.com/product/767169/gci-outdoor-wilderness-recliner-chair
I’ve used the Crazy Creek chairs quite a bit. I find them to be great for tarp hopping, because they’re so light and take up little space. If you plan on having a tarp, however, they aren’t too great.
:wave You’ll see alot of these. Kelsyus Backpack chair is comfy, cup holders, and thin top with a pillow!
I have four I think? :cheers
Clutch- Didn’t you say your GF/wife ( sorry can’t remember what you said she is) is pregnant??? Don’t think one of those Crazy Creeks will be that good for her… She may have problems getting out and/or she may not have enough support for her back etc
We like these http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.shadeusa.com/backpack_chair_wearever.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.shadeusa.com/backpack_chair.htm&h=368&w=376&sz=20&tbnid=mheW I really like the little pocket in back so I can store things in… They are not as light weight as the others but they have a little more support, nice drink holders and different recline positions so you can have a nap if wanted as well during fest…
One more important issue to address when you consider what type of chair. If you are a large person get the bigger gauge chairs, yes they are heavier, but if you break your chair you will have to pay 3 times the amount if you need to replace it in Tride. My husband who is 6’6" has blown through many a flimsy lawn chair. So buck up and get the big boy or girl chair you will be glad you did. :flower
Debbie - we had two friends that were planning on coming a while back and she is pregnant, they decided not to come anymore. I can see this chair not working out for that, good call.
I may have to re-think this whole chair thing again, for we plan on being in the festival for hours on end. Swander, I like the one you posted. I like the idea of it turning into a backpack.
Swander, those chairs are cool…however after a few Fat Tires Hic! :cheers…they tend be effected by Gravity Storms! I know it is always operator error…or the fact that I have been grossly over served but I have a problem staying in those damn things! At least its not a long fall! :pirate
Clutch- You can leave your chair for hours while roaming around… No one will bother it… Where are you camping?
Well hopefully Town Park…we are working out the details to get some.
I know we will want to get up see things during sets, go hit up the small tent for performances outside of the festival. So something we can backpack would be best…
I think drink holders are a necessity… but you may want to take a “festival cup” pretty stander to go cup to try out while buying… We were bummed that they do not fit some chairs…LOL
BTW, anyone seen the backpack chairs with WOODEN arm rests lately… My older one is starting to get a bit worn out but the plastic handled ones just don’t last well…
:thumbsup The “tipiness” can be useful for festivarians that can’t stand up well, for whatever reason. It’s not the easiest chair to get up from. But imho, it’s the most comfy for festivation/napping.
Agreed! Oncve you get in they are very comfy! Now if Sam has perfected the “Festival Catheter” there is no reason to get out of it!
Wow those are some pretty swanky chairs alright! While I’m sure they are made in china my local sam’s club had some decent low chairs for 19.99. Brand name was nautica and they were by all the camping gear. Didn’t do all the cool stuff those others did but if you’re cheap like me well I thought I’d pass that along. Have a good weekend :cheers
