Ok, one more day of work, pick up the rent-a-car tonight, load up in the morning…and on the road 6 or so AM off to SLC for the night! See you all Saturday! :pirate
At work, but not working. The truck is packed already first time Ever done early! I got to mow the lawn, revise clothing, and rewrite dog med list. Moab tomorrow
At work now but mentally packing and re-packing the Run-A-Muck trailer. Also, I need to: mow, make a music playlist, get duplicate keys made, get a rubber patch for the wagon tire, get my car washed, buy an extra Crunchy Frog bottle, hit the grocery store, clean my house, pack personal gear, find my ass with both hands, pre-make first-day drinks, play with my dog, remember what I’m forgetting, back up my iphone, and put on clean underwear. It’s not easy preparing to have this much fun.
I have the maple van packed as full as can be, just the beer and food coolers and last two duffle bags left. Once I get to Moab on Friday it will get a lot lighter and then I can head on up the mountain road to Telluride. I might have room for a couple of the juvenile clouds leftover from my maple season, I hope that they behave on the way. Might have to let them out over Utah so they warn up and don’t make snow. And hopefully the officials don’t think that Cheech and Chong are riding with me. See you back home soon and remember to drive fast and take chances on the way… :dog
I’m hitting the road bright and early Friday AM. Looking at roughly 20 hours on the road. Mostly packed, just need to pick up a few things and load the car!
Dog sitter came over last night and it’s the first time I had to say,“Martha could die in her sleep, but it’s OK.” She is pushing 17 and has had a fantastic life. It would be a good way for her to go, but hope that it doesn’t happen to the dog sitter!
Leaving Mississippi Friday afternoon for my 24hour haul. Spending the night in Dallas with a college buddy and then heading on over. Making the haul solo this year. My wife is pregnant and was advised against going this year. Looking forward to my 3rd consecutive town park stay.
