Jack Johnson just posted on his FB page that he was called and asked to cover Mumford and Sons Bonnaroo slot this weekend. Does that mean he’ll take their headliner slot in Telluride???
I hope not.
I doubt it, he is playing in London on the 19th and the Concord no flys back and fourth in three hours.
Dispatch and Jack Johnson? I’m not about to relive college frat parties again.
Really, who wants to do a keg stand of Milwaukee’s Best Light?
I’m down.
:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
Anything that is popular is instantly Frat Party Rock? :huh
Dollars to doughnuts you would enjoy a Jack Johnson Set…he’s a great musician.
I was being literal. If you went to college in the midwest 2000-2004 that was what was actually playing at those parties. No joke.
Good times until the tear gas came out.

Likewise. Didn’t see anything inflammatory about that post… It’s what frat rock was at that time, along with the earlier days of OAR and DMB, etc.
I think Jack is a great musician I just don’t see how he fits in at TBF. I don’t want this festival turning into Rocky Mtn Bonnaroo or any other festival that just books the biggest names they can no matter what genre. TBF is a specialized festival that attracts the best pickers, singers and songwriters within the country and bluegrass/jamgrass genres. Lets keep it that way. Here’s to a great 40th anniversary of TBF and to a great week of music, cheers y’all! :cheers
If anything Mumford is current “Frat Rock” :lol At least the Jack Johnson Frat Rockers are old enough to have an IPA in their keg stands :cheers :lol

I agree 100%…I’m sure whatever PB comes up with will be great, it’s just fun to speculate. An all-star set would work fine for everyone I’m sure.
