One band could envision showing up. Just released solid new album.
Check out their tribute to Emmylou Harris singing their song Emmylou at Polar Music Prize
Happy Groundhog Day everyone. Is today the day someone at PB will stick their head up and let us know another performer or two? Or will we get 6 more weeks of waiting.
I love the build up and I gotta say the program this year is already awesome
That said there has been some great suggestions for the final call outs
Today my Apple Music suggested the Dillard’s as I drove down the Great Ocean Road toward the beach with brilliant sunshine and fabulous waves…never heard of them before but what banjo playing! We were rapt to discover them on a whim.
I could spend two years touring your country and I think there would be Bluegrass magic everywhere
Cannot wait to see everyone again and yes, come on Ferg, we have been very, very patient and I know you have a fab little treat in store for us!
And we have NIGHTGRASS LOTTERY anxiety to come, it never stops gang.
The Dillards are great!! They were the band on Mayberry. Also, they made quite a few albums with John Hartford, that are really cool. They got a bit experimental in the early 70’s. Yes guess I’m going to have to pull out a few Dillards albums from the shelf and give them a spin. Cheers
Maybe I’ve had my head in the sand, but over the last couple months I finally discovered Michael Cleveland and the Flamekeepers, holy cow!!! He would make an awesome addition to the current line-up. Another great act I’ve only seen once before but seems to be tearing up this years festy circuit is Henhouse Prowlers, if you get the chance check these guys out.
It’s possible Elephant Revival may not be a band for much longer, or at least will be very different from the current form, and may even change names/musical formats.
I’m hoping not, but due to their cancelling of many upcoming shows I’m guessing things don’t look good.
I make no promises as I may be needed elsewhere, but I’m hoping to go. It will depend on what’s going on at Run a Muck and when The Dusters have nightgrass.
That was my first year, and it’s not the only time he’s marched through the crowd playing his fiddle.
One time I spread my arms out to hold people back as he came by me and he looked at me and winked in approval of my actions. I will never forget it. :flower
This may be a bit out there. The Tedeschi Trucks Band will be in Salt Lake City on the 23rd. It’s common for headliners to swing through SLC either after or before Telluride. Would make for a great Friday night show :cheers
