Pandora just introduced me to this fantastic songwriter named Gregory Alan Isakov (who is apparently no stranger to Telluride as his bio would tell it - a past Troubador winner, etc). His song, “The Stable Song”, recalls Springsteen’s Nebraska album; that particular song recalls the traditional structure of Springsteen’s “The Wrestler” as well, with a bit more of a bluegrass vibe.
Anyway. I’m looking forward to exploring his tunes!
Just goes to show that there’s a lot of good music out there that we’ve never heard, and that the Planet’s got a hell of an ear.
