Initial 40th Anniversary Lineup

Brown Chicken Brown Cow String Band (veterans, I might add, of several Road to Rich’s Tie Dye Parties, in 2009, 2010 and 2012) are actually in the band contest, not on the main stage.

Except they’ll be on the main stage when they hit the band contest finals! :medal

Although you qualified their appearance, you didn’t burst my bubble. WAYYYY excited!!!

LOVE their name!!!

Yes, please! Sleepy Man Banjo Boys, gotta remember that.

Ahh, yes.

Elephant Revival-esque instruments, old-time-esque stage presence, bluegrass music-esque sound. yes please

How many are we up to for Greensky? I think it was around a couple of thousand by now so please put me as #2001. Yee-ha! :cheers

Make me 2002, Cindy Lou! :wave :cheers

And I’ll be #2003. :lol :thumbsup

I’ll take #2004 :dance

I’ll take two and call ya in the morning.

I love to see the Greensky support. Great band and great guys. Here’s a link to a video slideshow from a semi-private party that they played in Denver just before Christmas. It was an after-party for a group of micro-brewers. Craft beer and bluegrass - what a concept. :cheers

More Greensky, please! Great guys indeed. Got to meet them and actually have a conversation at the Yonder kick-off last year (I was wearing a Bell’s Brewing t-shirt…their “home stage”). Their Saturday nightgrass show at the Sheridan was the highlight of last year’s festival for me.

Can I vote a 2nd time for Greensky?

So … just received an email from Greensky announcing that they will be playing Red Rocks on July 12 with Railroad Earth and Galactic. They say its always been on their bucket list … perhaps Craig knew something before the rest of us?? And they still have open dates during TBGF!! Perhaps … Here’s hoping … :flower

Oooh, I like that! :wave

Well, I don’t like contributing to the rumor mill, but … having attended Delfest for the past 5 years and making the pilgrimage to Telluride twice during the same period, I have noticed that at least 50% of the Delfest bands make their way to Telluride a couple of weeks later. So with today’s (less than 1 hour ago) release of the Delfest lineup, you can begin to whittle down some of the previous rumors, and lite a small blaze under some of the others. Note to Phish fans, Trey will be in Cumberland … Also, Old Crow has already sold out Red Rocks in early July. And Greensky at Red Rocks in July … Happy speculating until PB lets us in on their secret :cheers

"The initial lineup is here! Make plans with friends and family now to join the McCourys on Memorial Day weekend in beautiful Cumberland, MD for a festival experience like no other!
