Did anyone else notice the banjo player from that really awful 3-piece band (bad jokes, bad "costumes) was escorted from the pavilion (and out of the farm) by security? Also, minutes after that, I saw security chasing people around the Wildflower Pavilion?
I don’t know about that but there was a very inebriated individual on Saturday night whom had too much too fast and whom was disturbing people; along with other actions including interrupting our picks in the back pavilion of Meadow Park. His behavior was beyond socially unacceptable – making very rude & loud noises, getting into people’s faces (including children) and made those including myself feel very uneasy. Thanks to the one person whom reported this guy to Planet Bluegrass and the town of Lyons, as I was ready to report this person myself.
The guy got arrested the following morning, and is banned for life at Meadow Park. The sad part is that its a person who clearly is in need of help; whether it be sobriety, detox or something. It was very sad to see, but given what went down in Aurora two weeks ago with that wack job, you just cannot take any chances these days. The ban was fully justifiable by my view.
I heard about that band competition incident but did not see it.
I did however also have a wierd confrontation with the guy at Meadow park who was bothering several of us on Friday & Saturday nights. He tried to “crash” at my camp site and woke up my friend Steve by trying to get him to drink vodka at 6am-weird. I did report it to the kind folks at the entrance and sounds like they did the right thing. i agree with you JJ-poor guys needs some serious help but its so hard to help people in that type of situation and rather scary at the same time.
