In case you missed your email (2010 Lineup info enclosed)

…or maybe you come here first thing.

Either way, It’s great to be able to announce an additional artist to the 37th annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival lineup.

…an artist that has a presence that demands your attention.

…an artist who surrounds herself with some of the best musicians on the planet.

…an artist who has the voice of an angel, and more Grammys than any other female artist in the history of recorded music.

Forumvarians, I am proud to once again welcome…

Alison Krauss & Union Station :flower

Please excuse me while I faint. Be sure to wake me a day before my plane departs so I can properly pack my belongings. Thanks.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! :eek :eek :medal :woohoo :love :hop :clap :rollin :sunshine :drool
Could you possibly have a better 2010 lineup??? Will we be able to bear such amazing musical intensity??
I am at loss for words. I think I might just have to cry.

Wow what can we say, the entire lineup for TBF, RGA, RG is just off the charts this year, who put the benzadreen in Uncle Ferggies Ovalteen :flower :flower

Knock my socks off Planet Bluegrass. Dang thats great news. :medal

Happy Happy - Joy Joy!!! :thumbsup

THIS IS AWESOME! :cheers

Is she the only lineup announcement today?

how can something so unbelievable be so believable?!!!
this is just awesome thanks PB!!
:sunshine

Lala- I think I just heard your shriek of joy all the way over here…

:lol

FreebornMan…yes. AKUS is the only announcement today.

Nobody else would be able to hang.

haha Ohh so true my friend, ohh so true.

When is the traditional batch coming?

Traditional batch?

It’s already here: http://www.bluegrass.com/rockygrass/lineup.html

I will NEVER forget the sound of 10,000 people being absolutely silent for an AK song a few years ago. It was truly one of the most memorable, most moving moments of my music festival life. There were no whoops and hollers from idiots, no babies cried, nobody pushing through the crowd. It was as peaceful as a crowd can get, as magical as a musical moment can be.

:sunshine :hop :clap :clap :hop :sunshine

If I can take some creative license here:

The smile on my face lets you know that I love you!!

Thanks!!! now my festival is complete, and it hasn’t even started.

…wait…or maybe it’s never ended…

…we’re always at Festival, right?

Actually, I meant the usual “batch” of 3 or 4 artists being announced. Not Traditional Music. My mistake…that was poorly written.

We do still have a handful of spots that have not been announced…and we’ll get the rest of the names to you when we get everything all sealed up.

Ferg’s working hard…but we’re not quite there just yet. :horsey

:eek :lol

You probably could!
It was more like a wail of -deep satisfaction-intense happiness-surge of joy-tears of emotion-pang of deeply felt sadness- in case I don’t make it to TBF this year!
Indeed, it the visa paperwork doesn’t come through early enough, me and Dayton will have to give TBF 2010 a miss, but in this case it will be with a very very heavy heart :frowning:

John, I believe the song you are referring to is Living Prayer. AKUS has concluded their set with it the past two times at TBF? A magical end to the festival!

Thanks PB! :thumbsup You just made my day, week, year! :medal
:woohoo :hop :woohoo :hop :woohoo :hop

Still going to miss Emmy Lou wandering around and chiming in once and a while!
But AK makes that all better!

Thanks. I’ll look in my collection for it.

That was the same AK performance that included Bobby McFerren doing all the instruments with his voice for a couple of songs. It was quite charming how AK was so nervous heading into that section of the set. But then again, she’s quite charming most of the time anyway!

let me search the memory banks, it must have been “ghost in this house”?
