I was disappointed to miss him and I confess I fell asleep trying to hear him on KOTO ( maybe 4am)
So, how was his set?
Never seen him but his you tube clips are fun

I really dug his set. He’s got a very unique sense of rhythm and syncopation that lends a really interesting flair to his music. He was a really good performer, and is an excellent song writer. It was easily a top 5 set of the weekend for me (Sam Bush, House Band, Margo Price, Red Knuckles @ The Sheridan, Parker)
Agreed, great set. He was a little more electric and bluesy during some of the songs than I was expecting. His quiet acoustic tunes were my favorite, it was a hot time of day so the set was a little under attended, but those there gave him positive feedback.
Thank you!
Thank you!
He killed it on the main stage! And he is only 26 years old!
Parker played a great set. He has this “soul” in his voice that is unique, and brought something special to the festival. This festival almost seemed like a coming out party for many new, great acts. The future looks bright.
Thanks both!
I really like the stuff I’ve seen on YouTube, he was someone I’m really keen to see.
On another note, I have played Oh Hellos so much since I saw them at Telluride. Man I think they are fantastic
He can sing, he has great presence and he is cute. I knew he would be great
It’s that Okie goodness. Parkers set was great, and like a good Red Dirt artist he brings up others with him. His band was mostly an all-star cast of Okie players. If your into old fashioned Tulsa sound music like JJ Cale, and Leon Russell’s Church Studio sounds. Check out Paul Benjamin Band, Paddy Ryan who played drums with Parker is Paul B’s drummer. They are a great group. Another group from Tulsa thats been heavy hitting the road, especially in Colorado and New Mexico is Grazzhopper, which I also suggest checking out.
Australian Fan if you like Parker have you checked out John Fulbright? He’s probably one of Parkers biggest local influences, though he himself is only a few years older. But his albums, and stage shows are fantastically powerful. A must have in your record collection, and a must see act! I’d say start with the album ‘From the Ground Up’ and go from there. I guarantee you’ll like it, maybe even shed a tear.
Music is magic!
Yep, yep and triple yep. :medal
Thanks for the musical heads up ToddG. Excited to listen to John Fullbright. It looks like he has a new album too. Music IS magical.

Kara were you in Duk Tape on Sunday prior to fest? I think we were near each other but never officially met.
That sounds about right :cheers
