I suddenly feel like taking the whole week off from work.

This would be a good read for virgins for additional information about what to consider when packing.

Preparations are going well down here in NorAZ. The addition of high altitude training to the process has proven to increase stamina.

I’m stoked to finally be a part of the Town Park festivities after 4 years!!!

I’ve started my training by climbing up on the roof with 4 pints of beer in a paper tray. I have a chair up there and an extra tarp which I put over my head every time a shower passes across the valley. I hoping for some extra credit from waving at the occasional million dollar rv that passes by on highway 1.

So far I haven’t spilled any beer.

:peace

I just read the first post by Ron n Deb and I literally burst out laughing! :lol
Such wise advice…
For the moment I’m just trying to get my TBF knowledge up to scratch: only just discovered what Tarp Running was by watching the morning tarp run on YouTube’s video’s of TBF 2008! Wow, that’s pretty full on stuff!!! Do you get given a little head start as a newbie or what? How fair play are your fellow tarp runners? No festifowl involved I hope! I really need a bit of coatching in the tarpolitics I think, but I’m seriously considering some heavy training to even compete with TBF veterans…Or maybe I should let someone else volunteer :evil

Ahh little one …the Wise Veteran sets back and films the tarp run from Town Hall
:cheers

:clap :clap :clap :clap
Atta boy Jerry! I hope you haven’t fallen off the roof after consuming the 4 beers! :hug

OK, ok, I get it…lacing up my running shoes as I type…better start practicing… :thumbsup

I told you she was a smart one! It’s Sarah… redux… and we all know how that turned out (FANTASTIC!)

Lalagay, do you have a hill nearby, and I mean any, even a short one, that you could run up for practice? :lol

Auntie Hope :festivarian2 :green

Yes, I have all that’s needed to get my tarp running up to scratch :thumbsup
It’s the fierce competition I’m worried about…
Remember to be kind to the newbie :flower

No…No! It’s just the same as on the rugby pitch. Anything goes! Newbie or not.
It is a hoot, though, and a great tradition. I’m sure you’ll get to run one of the days for whichever camp you become part of. It does get you pumped up for the day. :thumbsup
Jailhouse Boys

Thanks Rob!

Well, I can’t say you haven’t put me off a bit though… I was never tough enough for rugby! :rolleyes
