I’ve started my training by climbing up on the roof with 4 pints of beer in a paper tray. I have a chair up there and an extra tarp which I put over my head every time a shower passes across the valley. I hoping for some extra credit from waving at the occasional million dollar rv that passes by on highway 1.
I just read the first post by Ron n Deb and I literally burst out laughing! :lol
Such wise advice…
For the moment I’m just trying to get my TBF knowledge up to scratch: only just discovered what Tarp Running was by watching the morning tarp run on YouTube’s video’s of TBF 2008! Wow, that’s pretty full on stuff!!! Do you get given a little head start as a newbie or what? How fair play are your fellow tarp runners? No festifowl involved I hope! I really need a bit of coatching in the tarpolitics I think, but I’m seriously considering some heavy training to even compete with TBF veterans…Or maybe I should let someone else volunteer :evil
Yes, I have all that’s needed to get my tarp running up to scratch :thumbsup
It’s the fierce competition I’m worried about…
Remember to be kind to the newbie :flower
No…No! It’s just the same as on the rugby pitch. Anything goes! Newbie or not.
It is a hoot, though, and a great tradition. I’m sure you’ll get to run one of the days for whichever camp you become part of. It does get you pumped up for the day. :thumbsup
