How much Money?

Do I need for the day tickets go on sale? I’m assuming tickets will be around $250 which means $50 of service charges. My question is do you need to buy late night tickets on that date (December 5th) as well or is that way later?

Also if I’m trying to get into Town Park camping how much does that generally run if you get in with the lottery? (they charge your card in January correct?)

Not sure exactly what you’re asking, but I do know that late night shows have traditionally gone on sale quite a bit later. Last year, it was mid-April.

That is a big part of what I was asking.

Basically I want someone to tell me what their basic festival ticket cost last year plus fee’s, and what other things absolutely need to be paid for by December 5th

Unlike Ticketbastard and other so-called fan friendly festivals, there aren’t the exorbitant feed up to 20% of ticket price.

Town Park will be around 275.
Nightgrass ranges from 15-30 typically per show.

And the general 4 day pass for the festival will be around $275 total as well probably (as of last year)?

Early “holiday” priced tickets for just the 4-day pass (no camping) were less than $200 last year (maybe $175, anyone remember?). As far as the Dec 5th date, if you are lucky enough to be picked during the lottery, your card will be charged as it’s drawn. That would be closer to middle of November, just to be prepared.

One other thing to note is that both Warner Field camping and Town Park camping passes include the 4 day festival pass. These are the only camping passes that are all inclusive for the festival. Holiday/Lottery price last year was $275 and Return/Resale price was $285. :cheers

All the other camping areas sell separate to festival passes and most require the purchase of a 4 day festival pass. Only Lawson Hill camping is the exception to this rule, in that you have have single day passes to camp there. :flower

:wave If you want Town Park or Warner Field Camping with your TBF 4day pass, it is a combo ticket, ($275 last year) and they will sell out in the lottery. You must enter during the week of Nov 5-14, 2012. If your name is drawn, your check will be cashed, or CC charged immediately! :cheers And no fees :medal

NightGrass goes on sale late March early April?

Planet Bluegrass sells tickets directly. There are no fees related to your purchase of FESTIVVVAAALLL!!! tickets or camping passes. :thumbsup

If you do enter the lottery for Town Park or Warner Field Passes (all inclusive to the fest) be prepared to pay up THE MORNING AFTER THE END OF THE LOTTERY. In addition, tickets will be mailed in a plain white envelope or can be held at will call for pick up at the festi-site in Telluride.

Best of Luck! :thumbsup

okay groovy so I’ve got about $360 saved for when the lottery takes place, and I assume you know long before December 5th whether you got in or not.

And if I don’t get a ticket in the lottery I can just buy my ticket on December 5th and then I’m assuming camping at most other areas is pretty cheap? Anyone know what camping costs at lawsom Hill or Mary Ilium?

I want to say Illium is $60 or so and Lawson is a bit cheaper, but it’s been a while since I stayed at Mary E, so I could be wrong.

Soooo…with the lottery starting on Monday(!!!) :hop will ticket prices (TP/WF anyway) be posted on the website soon?

They just went up. http://www.bluegrass.com/telluride/tickets.html

I don’t know if the price will be going up , but I payed $50.00 for camping at Illium. If you don’t win the lottery, Mary E. is a great place to camp. :thumbsup

So, does anybody remember what service fee’s were like for lottery and/or general tickets?

Planet Bluegrass doesn’t charge any service fees for their tickets. :thumbsup

Only those you buy from Craigslist or E-Bay will have service fees, but those are at your own risk. :evil

A few bucks ($2.50 or $3.00) goes to the town and included in the ticket price. Other than that, no fees in the past. Tickets are sold directly from Planet Bluegrass, not a ticket site. :thumbsup

NEVER any service fees from Planet Bluegrass.

What you see is what you pay.

:thumbsup

:thumbsup

Neither Planet Bluegrass, or a true festivarian will charge service fee’s. Face value for the ticket, and that’s it.
