Help - Illium Stress.....

Hiya …

my group is planning to arrive at Telluride early on wednesday and we are camping at the Mary Illium grounds… I think we all have heavy stress about the availability and location of campsites by that time… does anyone have:

  1. Advice / experience?
  2. A campground map (can’t find anything on the net)

Also, are the sites marked? usually there is a fire ring or something to designate a spot… there are 4 of us camping with three tents… help undue my pre-festy stress

stop stressing. you’ll have a much better time. :cheers
check out this thread http://www.festivarian.com/index.php/topic,2611.0.html
and surf around on the site here for other info, I’ve never camped there myself.

We’re (wife and I) are camping at Illium and not arriving till 3ish on Wednesday. From everything I’ve read, I’m not going to stress…sounds like spots will still be available, plus it sounds as thought folks are pretty friendly, so sharing a site doesn’t sound like a problem if needed. Good luck!

My first year we got there at 3AM Wednesday night/Thursday morning and we were able to find a spot still. You should be more than fine arriving Wednesday morning.

There aren’t really designated spots, per se, people pretty much just camp wherever. There are fire pits that people tend to cluster around, but by no means are you required to be near one.
