Hello everybody : )

As a new member I just wanted to say hi and express my gratitude for this place.
I recently scored some desperately needed passes to Rockygrass from a very kind member on this board
and have been poking around a bit and enjoying the close knit vibe you guys have going on here.

Thank you all for being so awesome!
I will lurk some more and try to add something constructive.

See you at Rockygrass!
Ill be pickin the mandolin at Meadow Creek. :wave

I’m glad you joined us, and hope you find plenty of useful information. :cheers

Yeah…like 9,001 things you can do with bacon

Free-range bacon. :medal

Discuss. :eek

Baconnaise

Bacon-flavored bacon.

For bacon lovers - Marco’s Hot Dogs! :drool :drool

Anybody had one? It’s a bacon-wrapped mexican-style hot dog! oh so good!(and i don’t usually like hot dogs)

It’s the first place my dad wanted to go when I picked him up at the airport (kinda like White Castles for me when I’m visiting back home)

It’s a cart, sets up at 17th and Main in Longmont. I think it’s our consolation prize - We don’t have any place cool like Planet BlueGrass - but we’ve got Marcos!!!

bacon haiku -

Don’t need no contest
To tell me Bacon is king
Why vote? Eat instead

:lol

I like this idea - a lot. Feels very cultured and enlightened. I can picture happy pigs romping through meadows of wildflowers, swimming in mountain streams, wallowing in pristine mud just before you sneak up behind them and shoot 'em in the head. Never know what hit 'em.

Wonder what all is entailed in starting a free range bacon farm. Clearly need some land and a shot gun…

Hmmmmm

Poor little piggies, going from free-range (snort, snort) to close range. BAM! (squeal squeal)

There was talk of pig roast next year. Who’s gonna jump on THAT and make it happen? :lol :lol :lol :lol Backhoe, firewood, palm leaves, pig, shovels. Not too huge an undertaking. :rolleyes There are already some pretty deep “low spots” in the campground. :evil

:wave I once cooked a pig in a pit for the ham radio club at a beach campout. Never again.

I would be happy to bbq one thoough.

:peace

That is seriously disconcerting. But strangely attractive. Quite certain I am salivating

A pig for the Ham Radio club; now that is seriously demented in a funny sort of way! :lol :lol :lol :pig

Zenster,
Pretty sure you’ve figured out the major food group of this group! :thumbsup

Welcome to the party, enjoy the music and remember, “The Kegorator” is a thing, “The Baconator” is a person (usually dressed in tye-dye and drooling)! :lol

Miki~~~~ did anyone get a picture of those Bacon Cupcakes that you and Lalagay made up in Telluride? They were mighty fine!

Auntie Hope :festivarian2 :green

I just did a simple search for “bacon” and it appears in 120 topics! That’s a lot of bacon ya’ll! :pig :pig :pig :pig :pig :pig

That’s hardly reflective of who we are. Bacon is only showing up in 120 topics??? Puh-leeze

Either the search is defective or there are stealth bacon threads… :huh
