Greetings Festivarians; and, let's get this party started....

Howdy Folks,

A different year here on The Planet, to be sure. For awhile now, we’ve put tickets on sale quietly and slowly leaked some of the artists playing the show.

Though we intentionally were kinda quiet the last two months in an effort to make tickets most available to those paying attention, our four day tickets were gone in something like 18 minutes. Our new shopping cart had a hiccup or two, but blasting out those tickets in 18 minutes leaves me to think the “cart” itself preformed pretty well.

A moment on the Planet Bluegrass Staff, if you please, - they’ve been in here for a month with no running water, heat or sewer to get ready for you guys… an ethernet cord and temporary electric cord laid on the ground.

I’m really proud of them for their commitment to “next year”, as always.

But, this year is pretty special for us. As we’ve seen our “headquarters” essentially demolished, we simultaneously experience a festivarian spirit that we wish was not called upon so directly, but relieved to have it fuel us.

I think each of you reading these words would love to have been here with us the last few weeks; and, in many ways you were.

We should soon have heat on The Planet. Running water even! The days will soon become longer. Mischevious plans for music on The Planet are underway; but… for all of us, the MAIN thing…

is Telluride.

And, Next Year.

Who’s playing?

Well, time for some tidbits to start leaking out. Yes, we’ve been distracted wandering our home and wondering how, but we never wondered if.

So… yea… who’s playing…

Well, we’ll have a name or two leading up to our first wave of announcements a week from tomorrow…

suffice it to say… it begins and ends with our dear friend Sam.

Forty consecutive years for Sam Bush.

Our first announcement, The Sam Bush Band.

When you have to rebuild, the foundation comes first.

Love and THANKS to all, from The Planet.

Ferg

Thank you for what Planet Bluegrass does for us. Working in the conditions that you have, with the complete lack of even the “essentials” just so we can have a good weekend, is going way past the call of duty. Thank You!

You guys make this look so easy. Thanks for all the hard work and I hope the recovery in Lyons is going well.

Thanks so much for everything, Craig & Company.

Planet Bluegrass: The best of the best! :thumbsup

Ooops, totally forgot to get tics this year. Were they on sale earlier than usual? Oh well, will have to guest list it. Noticed that the price for 4 days went up $20, is this for flood relief or a HUGE headliner?

Thanks for all your hard work.

Impressive on all accounts, as usual, as always. Thank you PB. :cheers

Thank you!!! All of your efforts are much appreciated!

“When you have to rebuild, the foundation comes first.”

Brilliant statement, Ferg. We Love You Folks! :cheers

PBG= sweetness , the entire staff, always so kind. Lucky man Ferg. We really don’t care who plays, just be there. Its tradition :medal

Just commit and don’t quit . Admire your strive PBG and I for one am always happy just to be in Telluride with all those sweet familiar smiles.
The line up is always important but each year it becomes an adventure to learn.

Would be fun to just not announce the entire Fest. Like a mystery Fest… :lol

Thank you and excited .
