I’ve asked a number of people and found out that the Gondola runs till 2am, but does anyone know what time it STARTS running in the morning? I’m hoping I can get a good tarp space for Fogarty and Salmon without having to sleep on the sidewalk…
not sure when the gondola starts, but wouldn’t worry too much about having a tarp down for when the headliners come on later in the evening. People gravitate toward the front, tarps or no tarps. I have never been a tarp person, but my suspicion is that it’s more of a nuisance to have to keep track of stuff up front later in the evening anyhow.
Ok so it’s kosher to kinda weasel your way into the lowback chair section for the late night shows? I mean just standing-not with a chair or tarp or anything.
True, it’s harder to keep track of things in the dark. It’s also dangerous…most of us either haul chairs/etc back to camp, or at least make a giant pile of your group’s stuff. That way folks don’t trip in the dark. It’s also warmer once we all pack into the front section standing up and dancing
It’s a house party listen/dance fest. Yes, the majority of chairs and tarps are all taken down and readied for night fall just before dark.
I must say though I had a total dance party last year when Robert Plant was on stage I was even with the sound tower and I could see perfectly and I had so much room to wiggle around it was bliss. I personally think the sound gets bigger farther back. DANG LETS GO!!! :medal
Not sure what the hours are for the Gondola.
As they have said, by the time John takes the stage, everyone will be right up front anyway. More so with Salmon. Tarps and chairs will come up and be replaced by standing and dancing people getting as close as possible.
