Going Solo

Hi folks!

I’m planning to head out to Telluride for the first time this summer and can’t really get any of my core folks to nail down and go with me. Any advice for a solo traveler, as far as camping and the like? Or a group willing to take in a fun, excited straggler?

Love each other!

Julia

Should also maybe note that I’m going as a volunteer!

What campground will you be staying in?

I have found most festivarians to be very kind, friendly and helpful to newcomers. :flower

The best advice no matter what campground you are staying is to arrive as early as you possibly can after that campground opens. Town Park and Illium open the Saturday before the festival. Others open Tuesday and Wednesday. No matter where you camp you’ll meet cool people. Getting there early gives you the best opportunity to get acclimated to elevation, to do outdoor activities, and participate in campground events prior to the festival beginning. Also no matter where you camp its going to be pretty warm anytime the sun is out, and cold as soon as the sun is gone, and every night will get near freezing or below.

Hey Julia! I will be rolling in solo as well. I travel full time and happen to be near the area so thought I would go! Would love to meet up. You can dm me on Instagram : @tincanadventure

I’m solo as well and camping. I’d love to meet some new people. My number is(801) 550-1581.
