Gear Review

Who said you had to take your clothes off :huh :huh

Geez you guys all have your minds in the gutter :lol :lol

Actually to make bring this thread full cirlcle… Gear Reviews…
Luanna is right it all boils down to how much you and your family can carry. I am a big fan of North Face Tents, Marmot Mt works sleeping bags, and Coleman gear. They have served me well in all facets of camping from tailgate to expedition. My best advice is to keep things very simple, don’t be afraid to spend a few dollars up front for the top of the line equipment; That is the stuff that will last you the longest and pay off inthe long run.

:cheers

Can I suggest Neosocks? I use them for skiing. I had a difficult time keeping my tootsies warm until I found these puppies. Where I used to have layers of socks inside my ski boots, I now only have the one thin layer.

They are AWESOME!

Hi Folks - FOAM is the answer… it provides an insulating layer between the ground and you. So… use a foam pad under your sleeping bag and/or place a thick piece of foam between your air-bed and the ground and you will be warm.
I like air-beds (even though they need topping-off now and then). I put down a 2" thick piece of foam on the ground, then place my air-bed on top of the foam, then I place a down comforter on top of the air-bed for an additional layer of insulation between my sleeping bag and the mattress. This layering system works. Plus, covering the air-bed with something keeps the plastic smell to a minimum.

Thats a good Heen …

I have a pair of therma rest pads with a strap that hold them together. I then cover that with a fitted bottom sheet and use my sleeping bags as covers. This arrangement has kept me warm to the teens… Not in town park yet

I still hold to another warm body as the best way to keep warm at night. :flower

Now that was a day to remember Tom… What was the bartenders name at the brewery that evening anyway? The music sucked but she was surely a beauty.

Note to Fesivarians: Be sure to have a designated driver before trying to taste all of the beers brewed at 7 brew pubs between Santa Rosa and Eureka, CA :eek :eek :eek
