Hi Everyone, fellow bluegrass lovers…
We’re old friends of John’s from back east been looking forward to RockyGrass for a long time, were going to hang out with him as our host…our 1st time at the event…
We are still going, hardcore bluegrass fans that we are, and have places to stay for the festival. We’ve dreamed about this for many years and want to support Planet Bluegrass at this time.
We’d like to meet some of John’s friends, visit his camp, share a beer, maybe pick a tune and be a part of any memorial taking place, if possible.
Hopefully this is the right place for this, sorry if it’s not…
If it is, please point the way…
I’m sure we’ll make some moments for JW, and probably cross paths with his friends at some point but wanted to try to make that happen before we hit the road…
I am so sorry for your loss, as John was an incredible person. Several of us are planning to meet up on Friday at noon, in front of the beer garden, to share in a group hug. Because if you knew John, you got a big ole hug! I hope you can make it as I would love to meet you and say hello!
John picked with our group many many times, we spent a week in line waiting to get on-site a few years back. look for our 10 x 20’ silver canopy with the chili lights. We’ll be picking late. Come by and have a beer and pick with us.
On the way to Colorful Colorado, a couple more hours of Kansas first. It looks like we should have several chances to celebrate the life of my friend John Wood the next two weekends. See everyone at high noon Friday.
Thanks so much for the replies everyone! We will look for you all 12 noon Friday in front of the beer area …and the silver canopy w/ chili lights as well to celebrate John and hopefully pick some tunes. :cheers
