Friday Vehicle Onsite Arrival

Hello! I am excited to join folks fest this year. I have an onsite vehicle pass for my 19 foot ford transit van. Is it ok to arrive on friday instead of thurs if I am not picky about the site? Will I be able to pull in and have room for a bit of “living room” space and a tent?
Thanks in advance!

Hmm. This is from the Planet Bluegrass website(https://bluegrass.com/folks/festival-info/faqs).
Not sure if you’re going to be held to this but fyi.

How do I know if I need a Vehicle Pass or an RV Pass?

The vehicle vs. RV distinction is made by bumper-to-bumper length of the automobile or trailer. When camping at Planet Bluegrass, a “vehicle” is considered anything shorter than 18’ bumper(or hitch) to bumper and an **“RV” is considered anything longer than 18’**bumper(or hitch) to bumper.

I think the 18’ limit is outdated and that page hasn’t been updated. The Folks Fest specific page now says 20’: https://bluegrass.com/folks/plan-your-journey/on-site-campground

OP, I’d call Planet Bluegrass to double check but I’m sure you’ll be fine. (800) 624-2422

To address your question about late arrival, Folks is very chill and, while it might seem like a squeeze at the time, if you have a vehicle pass, you will be able to bring your vehicle in but you may need to be a little flexible about the situation if you come in late. Talk to PB gate staff once you arrive if you have any concerns. They’ll help you figure it out!
