Hmmm Breakfast
xtra cripsy - of course on a soudough waffle with a nice over easy egg on top
Then there’s lunch
An ice cold bloody mary with the leftover bacon from breakfast in the glass
and a fresh BLT with fresh organic garden tomatoes
Don’t forget dinner
a bacon wrapped lamb loin chop grilled over seasoned oak
and fresh garden greens with a bacon vinagrette
I guess dessert will just have to be melted bitter chocolate painted on a body part with bacon chips sprinkled on top.
I’ve got some candied bacon in my freezer and it’s downright delicious! I’ll be bringing it to TBF but won’t go to far. I’d certainly eat it on ice cream, but I think my gag reflex is a bit stiffer than some people’s.
Haha!!! That’s awesome Tom!!! Somehow I missed that post back in December.
Debbie, thanks for the link. I think we will definitely go with the apple/cinnamon, pepper, and regular bacon varieties. Hippie Jerry and I will need to get the Run-A-Muck head-count and bacon requirements in the next month or so. I know you guys have held the bacon at your camp the last couple of years but did you haul it or have it shipped to Telluride directly? I also need to look into bacon containment. Maybe a new cooler (always looking for a reason to upgrade/add festi-gear).
Hooch- One year, I had her contracted go get it in Denver and then she delivered to Telluride … Last year, I had it shipped to my house ( day before we left) and then we brought it with us… That worked fine too. The “bacon containment unit” made a nice end table for camp…
Oh and I just confirmed- we no longer have to buy it in cases per flavor… (in the past we had to buy 12 lbs of whatver so that’s why we tended to just get straight bacon)… Just a minimum 5 lb order to have shipped…LOLOLOL, I think we may be able to make that minimum…
