First Timer Over Here!

:wave

My girlfriend will be driving out from Virginia this year as her graduation gift. We couldn’t be more excited for this trip, and we’re super pumped to have Town Park tickets!

We’re planning on seeing some friends in Nederland Sunday/Monday and heading to Telluride first thing Tuesday. Is this early enough to get a good spot? ( it’s just the two of us, and our tent isn’t “that” big).

We have a few questions for all you vets out there:

How does Nightgrass work?

Are grills allowed in Town Park?

Can we park in Town Park to unload our gear on Tuesday? When would we have to move our car?

Is Baked in Telluride open again?

Do you electric avenue?

Thanks everyone!

I’ll try to help and I’m sure others will join in.
There should still be decent spots avaialbe Tuesday, but do get there early in the day.
Nightgrass tickets are sold separately, just keep an eye out for the announcements. The concerts are held at various venues around town. All in easy walking distance.
Grills are OK in Town Park to the best of my knowledge.
You can park to unload, not sure when you wiill have to move your car.
Baked in Telluride is open and flourishing.
Electric avenue is my secret.

It’s a fanttastic festival with jaw dropping scenery. You’ll have a great time.

Early Tuesday should be fine, but Monday or even Sunday would be a lot better.

Nightgrass is through a lottery. Watch for announcements here on the forum and on the Planet Bluegrass website.

Gas grills are fine. Charcoal grills will depend on fire restrictions closer to the festival. Open wood fires are NOT permitted.

You will be allowed to pull into Town Park to unload and then park your car. Unless you have a vehicle pass there is no parking in Town Park from the Saturday before festival to the day after the festival.

Baked In Telluride is open.

Electric avenue??? :huh

:cheers

They usually give you an hour to unload your car. So you’ll want to find a spot, unload your stuff and one of you can drive the car to the parking spaces while the other starts to set up camp.

There are still some spots on Tuesday. You may not have a prime space, but you should be able to have a spot big enough for a four man tent and a few chairs. Just ask your neighbors to make sure you’re not setting up camp in their living room. You’re best bet would be to convince your friends in Ned to join you and arrive a few days earlier. You’ll wish you had once you set up.

Re: Electric Avenue

There are no street markets in the campgrounds. However, there is a “Merch Tent”, food vendors and vendors that sell many nice goods. All will be located on the festi-field and open to the crowd once the actual fest starts.

Welcome to the Festi-Family!!! :flower
