Door #2...

:wave Everybody!

I hope everyone is enjoying the fall!

I thought I would give you a peek behind door #2 of the Telluride lineup…interested? :8

(remember, we aren’t telling the rest of the world anyone till the 21st. :secret )

In the spirit of the 40th Anniversary, we are looking forward to not only celebrating the past, but to turning an eye towards the future.

Many great bands have come from the foothills of the Colorado rockies, and I’m sure you can all name a few.

This band is certainly unique among them and delivers a promise that “the kids are all right.”

Some of you, having never heard them, were blown away last year, even though they didn’t quite make it all the way to the main stage…

One thing is certain, the collective spirit and transcendental nature of the band’s music will resonate through the valley in a magical way.

Don’t be fooled, however, because this band has the ability to move your body AND soul.

Ladies and Gentlemen, with just a little further ado…

I present to you…

:popcorn

:woohoo Elephant Revival :woohoo

Hooray! I’ve been looking forward to seeing them!!!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! PLANET BLUEGRASS!!! :medal

My biggest let-down last year was not seeing ER on the main stage. Glad this little detail has changed ~ FOR THE BETTER!!! :cheers

Auntie Hope :festivarian2 :green

Cool beans! They are very fun to watch. I caught them a couple months ago. Cute girl with washboard…MMmmmmm

And a cute girl with a fiddle. Now all they need is a cute girl with a Mandolin and they’ll be one of my favorite sets of the year.

Nice. Hopefully we get another SOH show… After seeing them in small venues twice this year, I feel like anything else would pale in comparison.

:clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap It’s like unwrapping a gift. Goosebumps!

And I happen to know the guitar player from one of those other Colorado bands absolutely loves playing with ER when he gets the chance (being a washboard man himself).

:evil :thumbsup

Nice. :thumbsup

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsupYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :cheers

All I can say is last year the girl on the washboard was killer good, she wore these steel gloves that made this very cool sweeping sound like a symbal :medal :medal Totally slayed it!

Righteous!

:cheers
how exciting!! i absolutely can’t wait for the rest of the line up!! great start :thumbsup

:clap :clap

Yippee! I was at their SOH show last year–so good! I had a feeling they’d be on the Main Stage this year. :thumbsup

I too was at their SOH show last year, and couldn’t believe they weren’t on the main stage… SUPER GLAD to see they were given that chance this year!!!

~ THANKS PB!! ~ :flower

:woohoo (insert washboard smiley here!)

My FAVE memory from last year:
Sitting on a couch with Jeff Austin backstage after the Elephant Revival Sheridan show, listening to Jason Carter (McCourys) play Bridget’s violin while she sang accompanied by Pete Kartsounes on guitar & vocals… All while Sage and some random lady ballroom danced!!

:oconnor :dancing :pickin

~ Is it June yet???

After all of this week’s ticket-related drama, would a “Door #3” be too much to ask?

That’s awesome. At my old college house in Ames, IA, I heard some band a-pickin’ at a house party on the other side of the block. Turns out it was ER! Excited to actually see them in person!
