OK, this may seem like a silly question, but I’ve not seen any particular attention to this…Am I right in assuming that John McFee and John Cowan will be rocking a Doobie Brothers set?
If so, how fun is THAT gonna be??
I’m thinking it will be a songbook style set. They’ll be playing songs they love. Some originals and some covers. I’m sure a few Doobie Brothers songs will make it into the mix, but I’d be surprised if they were the majority of tunes.
Probably right, though John C is listed on the DBs sight as part of the touring band…Fun either way.
I thought the doobie brothers hung out at Run-A-Muck all weekend.

That’s correct. He played with them for a few years in the 90’s and he rejoined the band in 2010, which is why he hasn’t been able to make TBF every year like he used to.
There’s a new album “Sixty” coming this summer that has many “friends” listed as playing with John. Produced by J McFee.
Maybe some/one of those friends will show up, too? (some already will be there) But I would think there would be a DB tune or two… :cheers

Being from Oklahoma, it would be great to see the Legend!
Might be tough, though, He is in NY, the 19th and 20th.
And NJ, the 21st and 22nd, promoting the new CD.
