Karen started it! She send a message suggesting it was my 10th! I will say to her what I said to the young gentlemen “poo pooing” Kevin Costner’s position as a celebrity in the Endymion parade saying he’s all washed up because he’s old - “With age comes wisdom and skill.” Their response - pointing at me “I’m with her.” :lol :lol :lol
So the nice part about a leap year birthday, I remember almost every birthday party I’ve ever had and there is no birthday stress for three years - then if the 29th is Friday - it’s mandatory to throw a party or leave the country. This year, a party. 2 bands, (Murphy’s Flaw Bluegrass and the Tipsy Kings) and food. Food Glorious Food. Pasta Putanesca Pesto Lasagne, Chicken Enchiladas with homemade roasted tomatillo sause, PO-Boy meatballs stuffed Bread, Smoked Salmon Beignets (I’m making these for ya ABGATERS), corn carrot mauque chaux and - no surprises here - A S’more Buffet for desert!!!
So clearly - the only thing missing is you.
OK, the candles are lit, you can start singing now.
Courtness! Happy birthyear! When you’re born on leap day you get the whole year, that’s just how it works.
:bday
Celebrate!
Oh, and for your friends (as quoted above) a favorite quote, and one that I anticipate using more and more: "Face it, girls, I’m older and I have more insurance. "
Name that movie :lol
Miss Courtness you are lucky you don’t have to hear me sing
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
:butterfly :butterfly :butterfly :butterfly :butterfly
:bday :bday :bday :bday :bday
Jen/Gipper, You really covered it all, great job. Hope, you didn’t miss it, you were there with me. There was a moment during the bluegrass band where I just sat in my chair and imagined that great feeling you get on the tarps. I can tell you this, you can’t throw a party without great friends, and Jen, you’re up there with the best. Thanks for all your help.
