The earplugs are so that your tentmate can’t stick their tongue in your ear when you are passed out from drinking too much…or for blocking out potential sexy noise from your high libido neighbors…or for turning down the volume of the 8-instrument jam happening at a nearby camp.
I also bring a propane tent heater and crank it up when getting ready for bed and also a few minutes before I drag my butt out of the sleeping bag so I can at least change clothes without getting the shivers.
I thinka Brits idea of campin and the US version are on slightly different scales.
Just precisely how much gear do you guys take ?
We usually have 1 tent each, 1 blowup mattress, 1 sleep bag and a small stove.
Propane heaters ? Is Hank Hill coming too ?
Add the ice chest and you have the basic camp.
