Hi folks-
I know a number of people have done the festival thing while pregnant – I was wondering if there are any specific festival chairs anyone would recommend for someone who is 7-months pregnant? I want my lovely wife to enjoy as much of the fest as she can in comfort!
I don’t need a chair to be a miracle worker or anything. Also, we tend to sit back a bit further, where taller chairs are allowed!
Thanks for any help you all can provide-
Zack
Well Zach,
Been there, done that. Lower festi-chairs are going to put a strain on YOUR back helping your wife get out of one every time she needs to rise. Seeing how you sit back a bit further on the festi-field…
Take the lady shopping soon. Let her pick out a chair and break it in slowly between now and TBF. She’ll be more comfortable using the chair by the time you arrive on site. Promise.

Zack,
We also sit a little further back where the high back chairs are allowed. My wife has some mobility issues and uses a high back chair from Cabela’s.
Cabela’s Deluxe Camp Chair
She is very comfortable in this and it is easy for her to get in and out of.

Having some experience in this area I’ll say unless the chair is regular height (like some you might see under sunshades for example) be sure it has arms that are sturdy or none at all, not the fabric sort, so she can get herself out of it. I really liked our sand chairs with wooden arms (back-pack style) but was also quite comfortable in the all wooden ones some campmates have like this (just an example, you can get them cheaper I’m sure).
Back at camp something she can get her feet up with will be sweet.
Though I got some great advise on this question before, I thought I’d bump this post because we’re still unfortunately at a loss about the best direction for her chair.
We’re looking for more regular height chairs with sturdy arms based on the original replies.
Any specific suggestions that anyone’s had? I know TBF is pretty laid back but I just want to be sure she’s comfortable.
Thanks!
I’ve never catered to pregnant ladies (or even had a wife now that I think about it), so this link to the best portable chair brand that I know of may be trivial to you. But maybe not…

They have one model under the " Family Camping/RV" link with sturdy arms that looks economically womb-friendly.

She’ll be a bit more than 7 months.
I would go with something like this… http://www.amazon.com/Picnic-Time-Reclining-Chair-Footrest/dp/B004POY3W8 reclining chair with unattached foot rest… The foot rest may be important. There are some with attached ones but I find those are hard to get up from and you almost always get entangled in the footrest- could cause a fall.
