Smaller boulder was blown up but apparently larger will remain as monument. Does anyone know if 145 is still one lane? How is the traffic flow on weekends? We drive up Sunday. Thanks. Can’t find anything current on CO DOT site.
:wave
There is a one way detour in place with a stop light to direct the traffic through. The wait is just a couple of minutes. I’ll be going through that area tomorrow and will try to let you know if anything is different.
:peace
Thanks muchly!
Passed it yesterday( big damn :rock )… slight delay but passable. I would urge those who can avoid this route to do so if they are not coming up early. Festival traffic will likely add to the delays :drive . See yall here. Cheers and Godspeed.
Little update 145 down to 62 has road work (single lane) on it as well so either way good luck
Ugh! :sorry Mile marker 30
I wonder if he was headed to Bluegrass.
Sad news.
The real sad part is it was a festivarian.
Hippie Jerry :angel
That is terrible news. So sad.
Wow this is absolutely awful. You will be missed Jerry.
I am heartbroken. Oh Jerry, it won’t be the same without you. I am so sorry and sad.
RIP Hippie Jerry! I am not sure I can ever return to Telluride after hearing this news! Hippie Jerry was the nicest, most generous manI have ever met. While we didn’t come to the festival every year, the one thing I could always count on was a great big “Welcome Home!” From Hippie Jerry. I am saddened beyond comprehension! The only saving grace, was that Hippie w@s “heading home” when it happened! Love you Brother Jerry!
So sad to hear this.
RIP Hippie! I have a lot of fond memories over the years. You’ll be sorely missed! Love you!!
gosh damn, cannot believe this. a key part of this thing called life in the box canyon.
RIP and my heart goes out to those closest to him.
It’s devastating. Beautiful person, always so so so welcoming and kind. Much love to every Run A Muck friend
Very sobering and saddening news, we stopped in Rico at 5:30. He was just behind us… I’m so sorry to hear of this.
This year will be his and I’ll lift my cup to any who care to toast his life.
He always greeted me with a smile and ill contest any claiming to have heard a discouraging thing come from his lips. He was a happy soul and going where he loved… The beauty of this flower may have been torn from its roots too soon but even still it carries the seed of tomorrow’s bloom so, too, does today’s sadness carry the seed of tomorrow’s joy.
You will be missed HJ thank you for setting the festivarian standard so high yet low enough we all can still reach if we try.
Well said!
