Chondola during the fest?

Does anyone know if the Chondola runs during the festival? On the site it says winter only, but the Firstgrass festival page mentions Chondala access…

Any insight is appreciated!

Yes it runs every day free until 2am

What times does it start back in the morning?

Chondola?
Huh, I’ve only ever seen it called the Gondola. Whatever you call it, it’s a cool ride–though lines can be long at the end of the day’s festivation.
A quick google search answers our questions!

It starts running at 7 in the morning. It says it stops at midnight, and if memory serves it does run later on fest nights.
It sounds like the gondola gets you from Telluride over the ridge to Mountain Village, and the Chondola (a newer thing) gets you from Mountain Village Center to the Meadows neighborhood.
We get to town tomorrow!

Unless there was a big change this year, the Chondola (not to be confused with the Gondola) does not run in the summer. The top station is located to the right of the firstgrass stage (looking at stage) and the bottom station is located in “The Meadows” … which is mostly TMV residential / employee housing. So, there’s really not a need to use it unless you know someone living down there. But yeah, something is up with their description:

:huh

Good catch. The Mountain Village page does say the Chondola only runs from November 24 to April 5.
But the gondola will be going strong.

They usually try to start up the Gondola a little early in my experience. If you can grab it down from the condos at 6:50, that can make a big difference in line sometimes.

Are you folks talking about the “Ganga-la”? Every one I got into smelled like a dispensary! “Rocky mountain high…in Colorado…”
