Greetings from sunny Florida…actually it’s kinda of cloudy. Just thought I’d finally quit my lurking and say thanks for all the great info I have gotten from ya’ll. I am looking forward to losing my festivirginity indulging in an attitude and altitude adjustment. I’ve been wanting to make it to Telluride for years. About 15 years ago, I had a cancer patient tell me that all he wanted was for us to make him well enough for him to make it back to Telluride. He said that He wanted to die in the most beautiful place he’d ever known. That kinda stuck in my mind.
Anyhow, a friend and I are escaping St. Petersburg ( the town of the newlyweds and nearly deads) and are building a 2 week vacation around TBF. Flying into Albuquerque, then onto Mesa Verde National Park, Tellurdie, Taos and then Santa Fe…would love any great suggestions…especially the kinda of stuff only the locals know.
howdy fellow floridian. I’m down here in key west. Kinda doing the same trip. Flying tomorrow to dallas driving to abq, then up slowly in a no hurry kinda way. When are you guys headed that way? Were making it a two week trip as well.

:wave 2 driving in from New Orleans for our 5th wedding anny! Got married at Bluegrass 2010. This will be our 4th bluegrass, but first TP camp. We’ll be arriving Sunday morning…any camp tips for TP?
Also planning on a bunch of fly fishing through the week. Any other bug slingers wanna join? Can’t wait to get back to the mountains!!!
