CAUTION: There are some more SCAMS right now on Craigslist. They looklike they are offering 2 TP tics for 500.00
IF YOU RESPOND, they say they need to sell through ebay and they request your name address and ebay ID. This is a KNOWN PHISHING SCAM… Don’t do it…
Scamming on the price even…geez. :rolleyes
Thanks Debbie.
here was the response I got back. I posted it on craigs list as a scam also. Thanks for the heads up Debbie.
Hello,
The total price for the tickets is $500.We have to do the transaction through eBay because i am out of town .In order to start the transaction i will need your full name, address and your eBay id.They will send you an invoice with the transaction details and payment instructions (You will be sending the money to an eBay agent. After the payment is sent I will send the tickets to you.eBay will release the funds to me ONLY AFTER you will send them the confirmation that you received the tickets ).
I will send the tickets via UPS overnight.
Thank You
You would think scammers would work a little harder on their sentence structure, capitalization, and spacing to make themselves look more reliable.
Good point Hooch. There’re some serious grammatical deficiencies in our scammers these day. but maybe they were going for the whole “I’m an everyday Joe/Jane that makes typos just like everyone else.” :rolleyes And let’s give them the benefit of the doubt…perhaps they need to raise money to pay for typing lessons. :rolleyes
There’s a new community program in here somewhere…“Grammer for Scammers…because even they should know where to stick a period…”
:wave I DO hope everyone is having a great weekend amidst all these ticket scam/scalping woes
:cheers
btw, that is the same exact response received. Reply seems “automated.”
I got the same response.
I got the same reply too. Thanks for the heads up everyone! :flower
