Hello everyone!! My boyfriend and I are heading to Telluride for the first time!!! I had some questions about the setup and was hoping someone would be able to help us out.
We are camping at Lawson Hill. We were wondering how far you park from where you camp and what you do with your coolers, grills, etc when you go inside the show.
Any other tips for a couple of newbies?!! We are so excited!
See everyone Thursday!
First year lawson folks? Nice to hear from ya! last year was my first year and I stayed at lawson, and will be there again this year. When you arrive at the ball fields (a.k.a. Lawson Hill) , you will be allowed to pull your car right up to the entrance of the field so you can unload all of your stuff for 30 minutes, after this you park your car in a parking lot that is above the grounds, about a 5 min. walk from the campsite. Make sure you get all of your stuff you need from the car, becasue once it is up at the lot it is quite a hike up the road, which would make carrying coolers and grills a pain. During the shows and all throughout the week we left our coolers and grills at our camp without ANY problems. Camping gets tight, but it allows you to meet many great people and try lots of good food. Have fun, we’ll see ya there. :cheers
Good info, I was wondering the same thing.
See you there!
Very helpful question…thanks!! Do you know if you can set up camp (quietly of course) late night at Lawson Hill? We won’t be there untill Thursday late eve. Boo!
Thanks!
that’s a good question, and yes yo can set up in the night. That was the funny thing last year, I would go to sleep and when I woke up there would be new tents and more people as my neighbors who came in the night. Just be careful late at night, there isn’t too much visibility and VERY EASY to trip over tents and what not.
