Is CashorTrade a way to eliminate scammers? I was going to buy a set of 2-3 day passes for Rockgrass, but was not sure if it was ligit. Turns out it was and someone else bought them.
As a broker, CoT prevents scamming by acting as a “middleman” so illegitimate sellers don’t get paid out if they scam someone so yes it does prevent scamming quite significantly.
How do you know that messages are real and you’re not getting scammed??
Ask them to show you the electronic ticket. Many are counterfeit, so use caution. And where possible ask to meet them at the box office or some location. I’d be suspect of anyone who claims they aren’t nearby. Protect yourself and your hard earned cash. A lot of people are getting scammed.
