Remember you’re at about 9,000 feet! Hiking will be oxygen deprived. The walk along the river is really nice in Telluride. Bear Creek Falls is a really nice short hike. A ride up the gondola to mt village gives you great access to some really nice downhill walks.

There is ample opportunity to explore many cool places around the lizard head area that I have not been able to get to. Try looking here :

Uncompaghre National Forest

Hope this helps

Jud Wiebe trail which originates off of N. Oak in T-ride is a beautiful hike with a panoramic view of T-ride and the valley from the top. Moderate in difficulty just due to the gain in altitude. Bridal Veil Falls trail is also awesome.

Yeah, we always incorporate Jud Wiebe in our trip. :thumbsup

aspen falls. alta lakes. deep canyon. sneffels. hope this helps. these are all hikes accessible from the town.
