Beer Situation in the Festival Grounds

Kind of a weird question here, but do they serve NA beer in the festival? I love beer, but due to recent medical conditions the alcohol is a no-no. While NA isn’t what I prefer, it gets me by. If they don’t serve it, would they allow someone to bring it in?

I’m pretty sure I’d seen O’Douls there in the past.

They check your bags for glass as you enter the festival but if you have cans of NA beer, you should be able to bring those in. The festival website, under FAQ’s, says that you can bring in “soft drinks in appropriate containers”. I think NA beer should qualify as a soft drink. Good luck!

I will echo what Rob_from_Ohio posted. As long as your drinks are in cans or plastic, my guess is that you will breeze right through the bag check.

Hi there, I can tell you from my experiences, PB does not sell NA beer but will allow you to take in NA beer in cans. You might have to let security see that the cans are NA but we haven’t had a problem in all the years we’ve been going.

Peace!

I hope New Belgium has their Slow Ride session IPA. It’s only 4.7%, those Rangers can be a problem for marathon sessions. :cheers

I hope they do too becuz I LOVE Ranger and the more for me the better
:cheers :cheers :cheers

Personally, I hope they stick to just one IPA. It seems that bars the world over have over half their taps dedicated to IPAs, which I think is a shame. There’s more to beer than hops. Of course, so long as they have Summer Bliss, excuse me, Summer Helles, I’ll be happy.

Festivaaaal! is all about making His Hottness happy…here, you can have my last string of “2011 NoobBeads”…happier now?

:thumbsup :cheers

IPA? And that means? :cheers

FESTIVALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!

IPA = India Pale Ale
It has more bite to it and more alcohol
than your Fosters Lager.

:cheers

I may be wrong, but any self respecting Aussie doesn’t drink Fosters?
I would always choose an IPA. Could be a little much all day at Bluegrass, though

Bien Festivaaaaaaaaallllllll :cheers

I love the Ranger too . Sooooooooooooo good . I love the Summer Helles at the Fest as well .

Thank you for explaining…

Oh really, you think you have the best beer?

Nah, Yankee beer isn’t that fab though my feelings might be affected by my experience in every US bar I’ve been to …you know, I go into bars and ask for a beer and the barman always seems to say “bear. We got no bears here” ( yeah, funny the first six times…)

US beer is alright…and

most Aussie beer is pretty boring.

I like a Corona but after coming back from Guangzhou on Friday I have one thing to say.

Tsingtao beer from China…THAT’s a beer baby.
:cheers :cheers :wave

Aussie Fan,
I don’t think he was saying an IPA was better than a Fosters, rather that it has more alcohol, and more bite, which is exactly what typifies an IPA.
Which are not american, by the way, they come from the old East India Company (english). Hops and high alcohol act as a preservative, and helped the beer make the long journey to India maintaining freshness.
That being said, if you are visiting Colorado for the first time, I will point out that there are more breweries in this state, and we do brew some of the best beer in the world right here, as well as grow some of the best ganja too!

Speaking of beer…what are best breweries of the area. I know all of the front range and good metro beers of Denver/Boulder?

Check out A Comprehensive Guide to the Breweries of Colorado for some good spots.
(although they don’t list the locations)

Another list can be found at Colorado Craft Brews.
(Even they don’t list Smugglers in Telluride which is great)

If you’re driving up from the south, stop by Dolores Brewing. I really like their beers! Love their stout, and I don’t usually drink stouts. Their Bitter is also very good. Everything is sold in 16 oz cans / 4-packs. Only bad part is that they don’t open until 4 pm.
