I see that the tickets for the remaining Nightgrass Events (Oakhurst, Cornmeal, Greensky Bluegrass, Crooked Still and Punch Brothers) go on sale tomorrow at 10 am MDT. Do they also sell out as fast as the lottery goes/went? Or, will tickets for those venues still be available say, tomorrow night?
not sure how quickly they will sell out. historically, the Fly Me To The Moon shows dont sell out until day of show, usually, i think (getting unsurer by the moment here).
I will be online at 10:00 sharp for Greensky tickets, though. no way i am getting shut out of that show!
I really find no need to worry about getting into the remaining nightgrass shows. The railroad earth and yonder, sheridan shows are still gonna be tricky, but last year and years past i’ve never had trouble getting to these shows if you REALLY wanna go. Stand out front of the venue with a positive attitude and your ticket will find you!!!
Last year, I didn’t have tix to any of the nightgrass shows but sure enough, I was able to get into every single one I wanted to with a little patience and positive attitude! That’s the plan again this year, tho I did manage to get a RRE Sheridan tic in the lotto. :flower
no sweat, if it’s meant for you to be there , you’ll be there. I gave up trying to score night grass tix about 8 years ago, when Yonder first started the conference center shows on Wed night, I have never missed a show I regretted yet. that’s the beauty of Telluride, you don’t have to cram yourself into a room with 200 screaming freaks if you don’t have a ticket, the music outside the venue is just as special as if your riding the rail at the Sheridan. Telluride is nonstop music, the best of it is found in the campgrounds, the most special musical moments of my life have come when I least expected it. just getting into bed and having Vince Herman and crew come anawacking (sp) and dragging me along for the next 3 hours while we ran-a-muck (shameless plug) from camp to camp inviting all those that would Wander-in (damn I’m full of 'em) to join. if you don’t get the tix you want and don’t get to see the show your hopeing for, make the best of it and follow your ears and your instincts. I swear, you will not regret a moment. (unless you party too much and find pix of yourself wearing scant red underwear posted all over the internet! shut up Ron!
Ron, I know your out there but you don’t show being online? did you perfect that cloaking device you were talking about? or are you just wearing your super hero thong? Hmmmm, maybe the cloaking device is in the … no way! I am not going there!! :cheers :cheers :cheers

I’ll second that! I wound up not making it to any of the nightgrass shows I had tickets to last year… didn’t miss a thing though. Good times have a way of somehow finding YOU in Telluride
Well, for what its worth, I got the tix today. If I don’t use them, I’ll give them away or let them go for a discounted price. This will be the first year of attending a Nightgrass event of any sort, and, like others have alluded to, I can’t say I’ve ever ‘missed’ not going to Nightgrass :). Still tho, I think it’d be cool to attend one, if nothing else, for posterity’s sake.
Hint: 2008, Exhausted from 9 days at the pre-fest/fest, had already seen the flick twice, warm theater, comfy chair, lovely music. Basically I paid the $5 for Bela’s flick to take a nap and not freeze to death doing so. :lol
I almost fell asleep at the Emmit Nershi Band nightgrass last year when John Oates sat in with them. zzzzzzzzzzz. Dude ruined a great set. I left to go for a walk and ended up at the Duhks at the Moon and LOVED it!
Can’t wait for nightgrass this year:
RRE->Cornmeal->Greensky
The long days in the sun, whiskey, dancin’ your face off, altitude, altitude, and whatever else you may have gotten into, have a tendency to make the NG shows later nights. We’ll be at Cornmeal though, not to be missed, the other nights, we festivate at the campground. Remember, pace yourself, itsa whole lotta grass.
