Hey, Friends!
Just a quick note to let you know we have another great show lined up for
this Saturday, Feb 10th, at the Altona Grange Hall.
The evening starts with the high-energy, great picking, and oddball humor of
the tallest band in bluegrass - the Ackermans! The fine folks have been
entertaining crowds in Branson, MO and around their home town of Pueblo, but
they don’t get up this way very often. This is a great chance to see this
highly regarded CBMS band right in your back yard!
After we chase the Ackermans off the stage, you’re in for another treat: The Billy Pilgrims,
formerly called Wagon Train. This brand-new band features some very well-known musicians,
including Caleb Roberts of Open Road, Aaron and Erin Youngberg, founding
members of Hit & Run Bluegrass Band, and Dave Richey, who also played with Hit & Run
last year. The Billy Pilgrims play both traditional bluegrass and fine old time Honkey Tonk,
and they’re planning to pull out all the stops to give us a fantastic show.
All that for the same low, low cover charge of $8! Doors open at 7PM, and
the music starts at 7:30. We’ll have plenty of refreshments on sale -
including great coffee from the Unseen Bean and mighty tasty beer from
Boulder Beer - with all concession donation proceeds going to the Grange Hall.
The Altona Grange Hall is located on Nelson Road, approximately 1 mile east
of the intersection of Nelson Road and Highway 36. This is a few miles north of Boulder,
and due west from Longmont.
See you Saturday at the Altona Grange!
