No Thile solo. I wonder who will fill that Thursday opener slot?
The lineup isn’t full yet so they could keep the Thursday morning with solo Thile tradition alive…but if not I wouldn’t be surprised to see Edgar and George Meyer or Hawktail fill that spot
darkhorse is right, could come on the 2nd release of artists, but time will tell. I gotta say, I do love the solo Chris kick-off of the main stage.

Billy and Brian are doing a Doc Watson set at Merlefest this spring; well worth a repeat performance, I believe
I’m still holding out that they book The Bad Livers! And I’d gladly accept a Dolly Parton headliner! Seems there are still 1 or 2 possibly more headliners TBA. I’m pretty excited about any of the possibilities. Will we have to wait till March to get the rest or will some still trickle out before?
Seems there are about 30-31 time slots on the main stage traditionally. Which would leave 8-9 more artists announcements. And maybe there will be a nightgrass, and or firstgrass show with artists not billed on the main stage. With the line-up already kick ass this is shaping up for a stellar festival.
Looking forward to frogs, crawfish, bloody’s, brews, high fives, balls, disco’s, ahmen, and the best music.
