Well, it’s about 2 weeks earlier than last year… But now that all the artists/dates are confirmed, we figured there was no reason to wait any longer…
So we’re proud to give Forumvarians the first look at the main stage single-day lineup (listed in reverse performance order) for the 45th Telluride Bluegrass. (We’ll post this to the lineup webpage on Thurs morning:

This single-day lineup includes a bunch of new artist additions, featuring some very cool, strong female voices – and a bunch of TBF debuts:
Dustin, who will be performing the Gospel Set? Maybe give the Campbell Brothers a spot? They sort of got lost in that unfortunate incident a few years back, through no fault of their own.
Plus, sacred steel is an Ohio tradition.
I’ve been trying to find info, music etc… about The Maes, but not finding anything, or at least not finding anything fitting Brians description. Anyone got youtube or music links?
Nevermind, figured it out, have to search The Mae Trio, wow they are crazy cool. This is just going to awesome every single day, can’t wait, so many bands I’ve never caught before, and so many I already love!
I think I’ve seen Tedeschi Trucks about 7 times now. They come to albuquerque every year for a benefit and every year I think to myself that I should just skip it, I’ve seen them enough. And then I buy a ticket anyway.
And then they blow me away AGAIN!
I am SOOOO happy that many of the ten thousand of us festivarians who have never had the chance to see TTB will get that chance. I KNOW they will soon become one of your favorite bands.
For those of you unfamiliar, TTB is the combination of two bands. Derek Trucks is probably the most sought after slide guitarists, and his wife Susan is a tremendously skilled guitarist with a voice that will remind you of Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin. When they married, the combined both of their touring bands into a balls-to-the-wall blues and soul band with a full brass section and 3 backup singers. They absolutely love to dip into interesting covers, like Traffic and a masterful medley of Sly and the Family Stone songs.
But my favorite song is so beautiful that it has brought me to tears: Midnight in Harlem. Check it out!
This news, plus adding Nitty Gritty, certainly makes this one of the best lineups ever at T-ride.
Every TBF, I pick out a time each day to run back to camp, eat a quick dinner, hose off the sunscreen and slip into my winter clothes for the evening performance. This year’s lineup doesn’t give me that opportunity. There’s not a band after 3 pm or so that I could possibly miss.
