Who is getting tickets to the Cubs game when they play that special date in Goosebump City? I hear that James Taylor will be playing a post game show. Rumor is that the Star Spangled Banner is being played entirely in drums.
Poi Dog Pondering is sounding better then ever and they have the most AMAZING energy! They just did a 3 night show in Chicago commemorating 20 years of their album Pomegranate. Would love to see them back at Telluride.
Neil Young and Promise of the Real!!! -come on! It is time! :wave
Leftover Salmon, Sam Bush and the rest of the regular returning gang - they gotta play the new stage for sure!
Neil Young, I just have this feeling…I know Ferg would like that :flower Me too! :medal
I saw him at Red Rocks, hair flowing in the evening breeze a tee shirt on in 40 degree weather. He was epic, it felt intimate but it was just the way he related to the crowd…
I keep dreaming of TBF and replaying clips from the shows and basically mooning over it. It gets into your skin! As long as Greensky plays I will be happy, more than happy…come on June…
Babe, I’m never leaving. I couldn’t understand what everyone meant when they talked about it, I mean I go to heaps of gigs but TBF? It’s special, it’s magic, I cannot wait to return
Bring back Steep Canyon Rangers (my favorite), bring back the Dusters (a Grateful Grass set as well would be fantastic), I agree on Warren and RRE and The Earls of Leicester.
Saw Greensky last night in Santa Fe at the Skylight. Wow. They killed it. With this intense light show that was unnecessary, the music was extraordinary. Everything we’ve seen at Bluegrass and then another layer of depth, seamless transitions in and out of genres but the instrumentation kept the flow. Almost made me think they’ll move to the late late night set which would be too late for me, but they clearly can command that stage anytime they want.
Among the MANY Festivarians at the Greensky concert last night in Fanta Se. What a show - I’m guessing about 3 hours, after the really great warm-up band. Pink Floyd’s Time > Breathe was amazing.
Just to drive you a little crazier, I gotta tell you that this Santa Fe venue is really tiny - MAYBE 300 people - so we spent most of the concert within arms length of the guitarist and dobro players. I was so happy I made the trip.
I’m for tonight’s show with the Dave Rawlings Machine in St Paul and tomorrow night with Horseshoes and Hand Grenades in Madison for bands for next season at T-ride.
