It’s #FolksFriday and somehow we still have more awesome Folks Fest artists to announce…
Quiles & Cloud

(performing on Friday, August 19)
Hailing from the folk clubs of San Francisco, Maria Quiles and Rory Cloud share a kinship with the great modern acoustic duos (Gillian & Dave, Milk Carton Kids) - the tantalizing but subtle vocal blend, the virtuosic and slightly outside flatpick guitar solos, the timeless songwriting. But the songs of Quiles & Cloud (who also include upright bassist Oscar Westesson) get a little darker, Rory’s guitar solos embrace a little more dissonance.
Acoustic Guitar Magazine calls them “a compelling new voice on the Americana scene.” After hearing them, Alison Brown invited them to Nashville where she produced their debut CD for Compass Records.
