That is my dream line up

Okay…here’s mine. This is the wild freakin’ fantasy I want satisfied!

  • Someone I’ve never heard of that blows me away, and I leave with a new favorite
  • a bunch of bands I’ve wanted to see and never get the chance to
  • A bunch of other bands I’ve never heard of that deliver a good solid show that I enjoy
  • Some of my old favorites. I want them all there, without excluding anything else. Work miracles on that, will ya?
  • A couple of acts that really stretch my musical tastes…maybe to the point of not enjoying them, but exposing me to something I’d miss otherwise

so there it is! i challenge PB to pull THAT off! :huh Wait, what? Huh? :huh

You say that’s what we get in Town Park in June EVERY year? :frowning:

:eek

:lol Hehe… yeah…um… So… :lol

Sorry about that. Just ignore me.

:flower

The usual suspects…but please bring back:

Infamous Stringdusters
Alison Krauss & Union Station
Carolina Chocolate Drops

Make my day and throw in:

Jack White
The Black Keys
Drive By Truckers

Shaking it up,

David Lindley and Harry Manx:

Just saw the Avett Brothers at the Santa Fe Opera (!) and they just keep getting better and better. Time for a Telluride re-do!

Another rerun I’d tune into is bobby McFerrin. When he jumped over the Poser Pit fence to join us festivarians, it was really fun. But what he did that night with Allison Krauss was TOTALLY AMAZING!

Bring back the Boom Chicks. Oh yeah, and the Stringdusters.

open to the unknown…
love the standards…
as long as at the end of the set we hear this (click on youtube link)

:cheers

and since you asked, Neil Young and/or Mark Knopfler
The tribute album to JJ Cale is good, Knopfler does a few tunes on it
and I wanna hear his guitar in that valley through that sound system
one of those bucket list items… :pickin

I happen to know we can get their drummer back…and I’d do anything to drag Cristian and his family back to the Valley

  1. Bobby, Phil, Billy, Mickey, + whomever they choose
  2. whoever
  3. whoever
  4. whoever
  5. whoever

We need the Dusters! Sure, them not being at Telluride partially prompted me to go to String Summit this year and have one of the best experiences of my life, but they should still be at Telluride every year!

Infamous Stringdusters
GSBG
David Grisman
Jack Straw
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
The Avett Brothers
OCMS
Chris Thile
Drew Emmitt and Salmon
Keller Williams
MARK KNOPFLER
and some good blues ??

I think each dream team should include epic Traditional Bluegrass performers because we are losing a lot of really good ol time bluegrass players at a swift pace. We need these icons to preserve the real deal of traditional Bluegrass… Dolly P is off the charts when she sings Bluegrass. The real deal and so is Rhonda V.

I love traditional Bluegrass best! However love it when PBG mixes it up. :medal

Hum I’m excited at the possibilities already

Greensky
Stringdusters
Leftover Salmon
SCI
YMSB
Del McCoury Band
Travelin’ McCourys w/ Keller
Dailey & Vincent (gospel set)
Dave Rawlings Machine
Steep Canyon
Emmitt-Nershi Band
Black Lillies

Phil Lesh
Neil Young
Tedeschi Trucks Band
Gary Clark Jr
Robert Randolph
Wood Brothers

I’m with Landshark . Bring more traditional bluegrass . Dolly P. would be EPIC!! That bluegrass album she put out awhile ago was great . I could also listen to string bands all day long . IS IT JUNE YET!!

:thumbsup Yep Ross she is like Johnny Cash , only Dolly. Before I saw Johnny Cash at TBF I thought he would have been not my style. BUT THEN! BIGGER THEN LIFE he started with a swing tune and started to rock the house, I mean valley and every song he sang was epic and chill binding. Bigger then life !

Dolly, she would be the same and her Bluegrass is filled with shrill and goosebumps! I think I made up a few words but, yeah, Dolly :medal

or Dweezel :rolleyes

I felt the same way about Lyle Lovett . Never really listened to his music but was blown away when he started playing with ALL THOSE MUSICIANS on stage . He was mesmerizing. He looked right a me when I took a photo of him . Kinda of a creepy look. Dolly would do that to me in a second . Can you imagine that voice echoing through the mountains ?? :thumbsup :thumbsup

Alison kraus and Union a station, oh my god, that would be the dream…

Any form of Warren Haynes would be extremely welcome. I’d love to see Hayes Carll get a slot, I think he’d go over really well.

a King Wilkie reunion
Chris Stapleton
…and yeah…the Stringdusters!

but we all know the Planet won’t disappoint
