Pert Near Sandstone (they played nightgrass in 2013 but haven’t made the mainstage—yet)
Shannon and Heather Slaughter (w/CountyClare too?)
Jason Isbell
and finally, it might be crazy, but bring on JACK WHITE!
:cheers
I love that Fruition is popping up on the request list. These guys are writing some great tunes and they put on a fabulous show. Would love to see this NW band in the Telluride mix…. :thumbsup
That is true! Saw them August at the Fox Theater in Boulder, they were the headliner and Gipsy Moon opened for them. Glad I got to see them while they’re smaller and on the rise. Fantastic group :thumbsup
These boys are on the rise! They just won the contest at the northwest String Summit last year and put out a fantastic album. The Lil Smokies are going places. Why not make Telluride one of those places?
I have been listening to a lot of Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris lately from their album All the Roadrunning. I would love to see the two of them share a stage in Telluride. Ahh, wonderful dreams…
Hey! That’s a Landshark! :cheers
Warren Haynes would be spectacular indeed :pickin
And I heard today that Bob Weir and Ratdog are going back on Tour next year…with Steve Kimock in the band!
That would be a sweeeet addition to Bluegrass 2014 :medal
I saw Government Mule in 2010 and I saw him perform with The Allman Brothers and then with The Dead in the same night in 2009. Warren Haynes is AMAZING live! I would love to see him do something for Telluride. The Warren Haynes Band would be a great fit, but I’m not sure I’d enjoy Mule in that setting. As much as I love them, they just don’t really fit in at TBF, in my opinion.
Then again, many said the same thing about David Byrne a few years ago, and that was one of the best sets I’ve ever seen.
They’re fantastic live, too. They’ll be at Big Sky Big Grass in MT and at Winter Grass in Seattle this winter. I don’t think there’s anywhere on the interwebs to buy a physical copy of the CD, but you can definitely download it. They’re on iTunes and Cdbaby (which is far superior to iTunes).
